What are the plastic materials used in Laboratory Plastic Ware Mould ? Yuhuan Shengjiu Mould Co., Ltd. Description:
1, PFA (perfluoroalkoxy copolymer)
• Absolutely transparent, macromolecular thermoplastic, semi-crystalline
• High thermal stability
• Wide temperature range: -200 °C - +260 °C
• Chemically inert to almost all chemicals
• Very low water absorption (< 0.03%)
• Absolutely smooth, anti-adhesive surface, unique surface structure
• Typical products such as: Class A volumetric flasks, bottles, sample containers.
It is especially suitable for trace analysis of elements and storage of low concentration solutions.
2, PTFE PTFE
• Non-transparent, white, macromolecular thermoplastic, semi-crystalline
• High thermal stability
• Wide temperature range: -200 °C - +260 °C
• Chemically inert to almost all chemicals
• Anti-adhesive surface
• Very smooth, excellent electrical insulation (very low coefficient of friction)
• Typical products such as: bottles, beakers, magnetic stir bar jackets
3. FEP polyperfluoroethylene propylene
• Translucent, white, macromolecular thermoplastic, semi-crystalline
• Anti-adhesive surface
• Excellent thermal stability
• Wide temperature range: -100 °C-+205 °C
• Excellent chemical stability
4, ETFE ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer
• Translucent, white ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer
• Excellent thermal stability
• Wide temperature range: -100 °C - +150 °C
• Excellent chemical stability
• Typical products such as: thread adapter, Griffin beaker, threaded connector
5. PMP polymethylpentene
• Transparent crystal, hard thermoplastic
• Structure is similar to polypropylene, isobutyl group replaces methyl group
• Excellent thermal stability
• Temperature application range: 0 to +150 °C
• Good tensile strength and dimensional stability
• Excellent chemical stability
• Typical products such as Class A volumetric flasks, Class A graduated cylinders
For the storage of photosensitizers, highly transparent, UV-absorbing VITLAB® opaque series
6, PP polypropylene
• Highly transparent, flexible thermoplastic
• Similar to the structure of polyethylene, with a methyl group at every other carbon atom in the C chain
• Excellent thermal stability
• Temperature application range: 0 °C - +125 °C
• Good tensile strength and dimensional stability
• Better chemical stability than polyethylene
• Typical products such as Class B volumetric flasks, Class B graduated cylinders, measuring cups, sample containers, funnels
For the storage of photosensitizers, highly transparent, UV-absorbing VITLAB® opaque series
7, PE-HD high density polyethylene
• Transparent, flexible thermoplastic
• Excellent thermal stability
• Temperature application range: -50 °C - +105 °C
• Compact, with increased tensile strength compared to low density polyethylene due to fewer cross-connect structures
• Excellent chemical stability
• Better resistance to organic solvents than low density polyethylene
• Typical products such as: bottles, barrels, sample spoons
For the storage of photosensitive materials, there is a brown version to choose from.
8, PE-LD low density polyethylene
• Highly transparent, flexible thermoplastic
• Medium thermal stability
• Temperature application range: -50 °C - +80 °C
• Good flexibility
• Good chemical stability
• Typical products such as: washing bottles, drip tubes
9, polycarbonate
• Transparent, rigid thermoplastic
• Linear polymer of carbon dioxide
• Excellent thermal stability
• Wide application range: -130 °C-+125 °C
• Good tensile strength and impact resistance
• Medium chemical stability
• Typical products such as: dryer
• Note: High pressure treatment or the use of alkaline cleaners can cause polycarbonate to lose its tensile strength.
10, polyoxymethylene
• opaque, white, hard, macromolecular thermoplastic
• Excellent thermal stability
• Wide application range: -40 °C - +130 °C
• High hardness and dimensional stability
• Excellent smoothness and wear resistance
• Excellent corrosion resistance to aliphatic, aromatic and halogenated hydrocarbons as well as alkaline substances. In case of acid and ester instability.
• Typical products such as: spool valve box, dye tank
Excellent chemical stability to organic solvents
Polyoxymethylene can replace metals in many applications
