2, LED package: divided into resin package and silicone package. The price of the resin package is cheaper, because the heat dissipation performance is slightly worse, the others are the same. The silicone package has good heat dissipation properties, so the price is slightly more expensive than the resin package.


3, the consistency of LED color: At present, there are many packaging factories in China, there are thousands of large and small, and of course there are strengths and weaknesses. There are many small packaging factories that do not have a splitting color separation machine, so they either do not separate the color separation or are outgoing, so it is difficult to guarantee the quality. LEDs that have not been separated by color separation have poor color consistency. The effect of lighting on LED strips is not so good. Of course, the price difference is relatively large.


4, LED welding effect: LED lamp belt assembly is divided into manual welding and machine welding. Manual soldering is to use soldering iron, the most primitive method is used for welding. The soldering amount of soldering spot is not uniform, and a dot is used to wrap the soldering foot. At the same time, there will be different degrees of tin tips, which is a typical phenomenon of manual soldering. The product that comes out of this type of operation is ugly in appearance (inconsistent solder joint size, many flux residues, solder joints are not smooth, LED package is burnt, etc.), and second, electrostatic protection measures are not good, many LED chips are broken down. Causes a slight or no light when power is applied. Machine welding is not the same, using the SMT chip process, using solder paste and reflow soldering process. Therefore, the solder joints on the LED strips are smoother and the soldering amount is not much. The solder joints are arc-shaped extending from the FPC pads to the LED electrodes. Not only the soldered products have a beautiful appearance (the solder joints are of the same size and the solder joints are smooth). No flux residue, LED package is intact, and there is no phenomenon that the chip is burned by static electricity. At the same time, the position and orientation of the LEDs are beautiful. This can be seen directly from the appearance.


5, FPC material: FPC is divided into two types of copper and copper. The copper plate is cheaper and the copper is more expensive. The pads of the copper plate are easily peeled off when bent, and the rolled copper does not. Which kind of FPC is used specifically depends on the purchaser's own decision based on the use environment.


6. Does FPC have passed environmental certification, UL certification, and whether LED has patents. There are certified and patented, the price is more expensive, and the price is not cheap.


7, the brightness of the LED: different brightness of the LED price is different, the difference between the ordinary brightness and the bright LED price is quite different. Therefore, when purchasing, you must clearly know what kind of brightness you need, so that you can accurately locate your product.


8, the color of the LED: the color is different, the price is not the same. White and green are more difficult due to color matching and spectral separation, so the price is higher than other colors; red, yellow, blue and other colors are easier to separate, and the consistency is better, so the price is slightly cheaper. Special colors such as purple and brown are the most expensive due to color matching.


9, LED size: LEDs of different sizes, the price is different. For example, the price of LED of 0603 and LED of 1210 (ie 3528) is quite different; and the price of LED of 1210 and 5050 specifications is different.


10. Look at the cleanliness of the surface of the LED strip. If the LED strips produced by the SMT process are clean, the surface is very clean and there are no impurities or stains. However, if the cottage version of the LED light strip produced by the hand soldering process, the surface will remain stained and cleaned regardless of how it is cleaned, and flux and tin residue will remain on the surface of the FPC.


11, look at the packaging. The regular LED light strips will be packed in anti-static coils, usually 5 meters or 10 meters, and then sealed with anti-static moisture-proof bags. The cottage version of the LED light strip will use the recycling coil tray because of cost savings, and then there is no anti-static moisture-proof packaging bag. Look carefully at the coil tray to see the traces and scratches left when the label is removed.


12, look at the label. Regular LED lights with printed bags and reels will have printed labels instead of printed labels. The label of the cottage version is printed, and the specifications and parameters are not uniform.


13. Look at the attachments. Regular LED strips will be accompanied by instructions for use and strips in the box, as well as LED strips with connectors or decks; the cottage version of the LED strips do not have these accessories in the box.
