Most players don't brick their gear because they're unlucky. They brick it because they start clicking before they know what the item can actually roll. Desecrated Mods Can Save a Craft

Desecrated modifiers are one of the more interesting parts of PoE 2 crafting because they give you a way to aim at something specific. You then pick the one that actually fits your build. That matters a lot on expensive rares. Maybe you've already hit life and two strong resistances on boots. Omens Change the Math

Omens are where careful crafting starts to feel clever. An Omen of Greater Exaltation, for example, can make your next Exalted Orb add two modifiers instead of one. That's not something you throw at a random chest piece after a bad map. You use it when the item is ready, when the open affix space makes sense, and when the possible outcomes are worth the risk. Keep your stash sorted too. Essences, basic orbs, league materials, and bases should be easy to find, because messy tabs lead to messy decisions.
