Modern reservoirs also include pumps and modularly designed sensors, which enhance loop performance control and provide further control for users of modular designs. These improvements highlight the role of reservoirs in the development of advanced liquid cooling systems.

By utilizing the refrigeration cycle, the cooler removes heat from the system and transfers it to the outside, thereby enhancing the liquid cooling system's efficiency. This is achieved through coolant circulating throughout the system - heating the components and lowering their temperatures. Then, the cooler effectively dissipates the absorbed heat while the thermal conditions remain stable. These processes reduce the risk of overheating and enhance the reliability and performance of the system, especially in high-demand applications.
