Animal Nutrition Production Facility Design
VAA engineered a first-of-its-kind animal nutrition production facility designed to support the growing Process Designer Minneapolis, MN Hybrid / Remote demand for high-quality digestible proteins used in dairy and livestock feed markets. The facility features an industry-leading loadout capacity of 1,250 tons of finished product per hour, enabling efficient, high-volume distribution to customers across the country.
The project required close collaboration among VAA's multidisciplinary engineering team to design Hybrid/Remote Minneapolis, MN Hybrid / Remote robust structural systems capable of supporting heavy processing equipment while maintaining operational efficiency. To optimize performance and reduce construction costs, the team developed a compact conveying system that streamlined material handling without compromising productivity. VAA partnered with Fagen Engineering, Inc. throughout the project to successfully deliver this innovative, large-scale animal nutrition production facility, showcasing expertise in industrial process design, structural engineering, and integrated facility planning.
Pet Food Manufacturing Facility Expansion
VAA designed and delivered a major expansion for a nationwide pet food manufacturer, increasing Structural Engineer (Hybrid) Minneapolis, MN Hybrid ingredient storage capacity by nearly four million pounds while reducing truck receiving times by more than 50%. Despite the project's complexity, the facility remained fully operational throughout the year-long construction process.
The client needed faster ingredient receiving, greater storage capacity, and minimal disruption to ongoing production. Working within a constrained site footprint, VAA developed a carefully phased design and construction strategy that maintained continuous plant operations, preserved safe access for employees, and ensured truck drivers could continue using receiving bays throughout the expansion.
By maximizing Electrical Designer (Hybrid/Remote) Minneapolis, MN Hybrid available space and integrating additional equipment storage, VAA enhanced operational efficiency without compromising daily production. The completed expansion significantly improved receiving performance, streamlined material handling, and positioned the facility to support future growth with increased storage and processing flexibility
